In order to supply you with your Fixfinity member account, we need your email address, a user name, and zip/postal code. So that we may provide you with additional services, we may also request your real name and VIN. Fixfinity does not collect any other personal information that you do not expressly provide. Fixfinity will never sell, rent or share your personal information, including your email address, with any third parties for marketing purposes without your express permission except in the limited circumstances described in this policy. Fixfinity may share your personal information for the purpose of delivering email to you and may also share personal information with third-party vendors who assist us in performing functions necessary to operate our business. These functions may include, without limitation, website hosting, (for body shops:) credit card transaction processing and data entry. We limit the information shared with our third-party vendors to that which we believe is necessary to carry out those functions. Moreover, we require them to comply with our privacy practices, and not to use the information for other purposes except as required by law. We are not responsible for any failure on their part to comply with our privacy practices, nor are we responsible for any additional information you provide directly to these parties, and we encourage you to become familiar with their practices before disclosing information directly to them.
Since your car VIN and license plate number (if in a photo you upload) are transferred only to the body shop and not displayed publicly, your privacy is maintained without license plate blurring. If we choose to display your before & after damage and repaired photos publicly, we will do that with your permission and without license plate and VIN information.
In addition, we may disclose personal information in the good faith belief that we are lawfully authorized to do so, or that doing so is reasonably necessary to comply with legal process or authorities, respond to any claims, or to protect the rights, property or personal safety of Fixfinity, our users, our employees or the public. Information about our users, including personal information, may be disclosed or transferred (but not made public) as part of, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets or acquisition. Please keep in mind that if you directly disclose personal information when posting reviews or other content to the Site, this information may be collected and used by others. You agree that we shall bear no responsibility for any such disclosures.
